1.You must have an application from Department. To receive an application/forms, contact the Department Adjutant
and he will assign the form
and number for each candidate
2.Both forms are submitted to the Department Adjutant and
he will send the numbered
form to the Americanism Chairman. If Districts wish to have a judging (one candidate from the district) before the department level judging, they
should still follow this
process but instruct the Department Adjutant to first send the numbered form to the District
Commander. After the choice is made by the district, it should be
sent to the Department Adjutant
for inclusion with the other candidates
to the Americanism Committee Chairman.
3.The Name is kept in the office in the safe.
4.When the candidate is chosen by the Americanism Committee, the Dept. Adjutant will tell the Chairman of
the Trophy and Awards
Committee the name of the winner, so the
plaque or statue can be labeled with the winner’s name. They
will be the only ones to know in advance who is the winner.
