Again this year, in an effort to insure that committees understand that there are contests and awards to be determined at the end of the year, the Americanism Committee has taken the initiative to help oversee that the task is accomplished. On the “Address Sheet” I have identified each of you chairmen and the contest/award you are responsible for. We, the Americanism Committee, have set the date of May 16th at 6:30 pm in the Concord Post 21 to do our own judging of the Americanism awards. WE INVITE ALL OF YOU TO PARTICIPATE AT THAT TIME AND DO YOUR JUDGING. If you do not desire to judge your contests at that time and/or will do it at another time, that is certainly acceptable; but please let Jimmy Dupont know of your schedule so that he may do his job of ordering trophies, plagues, or whatever in time for convention.
If you would like, as a default plan, we (Americanism Committee) with your guidance, can do the judging of your contest at our May gathering. This gathering of the committees for this purpose worked well last year.
Please let me know what your intentions may be.
