This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the
very few girls chosen to attend
The over 100 girls from various communities
throughout the State of
They will elect their own town, city, county and
state officials. They will learn
the duties, functions, limitations and powers of various public offices. They will have their own legislature
where they introduce, debate and make their own bills. They will act out typical city, town,
county and state sessions of government as well.
Each girl has a chance to learn for herself that
her government is just what she makes it.
She learns the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of
American citizenship.
Applicants must be in their Junior year of high
school, either public school, private school or home school. Applicants must attend the entire
session.
Applicants must rank scholastically in the upper
half of her class, possess qualities of leadership, have good character and be
cooperative. Each applicant must be
willing to pledge allegiance to the Flag of our Country. Applicants must be citizens of the
