Cathy Partridge of Nashua, NH has been named the American Legion Auxiliary Member of the Year.
Her nomination letter stated that Cathy has been a valuable member to her Unit since she has joined.
Cathy organized Remembering our Teachers in the schools with baskets of apples and thank you cards;
she planned and organized an outing for children at Greeley Park; works closely with the schools regarding
the Granite Girl State Program; decorates, wraps, bakes cookies for the children’s Christmas Party; can always
be found at the Post Home helping with dinners and fund raisers; makes and donates baskets to be raffled off for
fund raisers; has been instrumental in the revitalization of the Unit; and remembers those who are unable to attend
meetings by taking them to lunch at local restaurants or visits them at their homes.
Cathy has been very instrumental in collecting items for Moore-Mart, a non-profit family owned organization that
sends approximately 500 packages to our troops every 6 weeks and also works side by side with the American Legion
and the Sons of The American Legion, helping them in anyway she can.
Cathy will be honored at the National Convention in Reno, Nevada for her achievement.
